Friday 29 September 2023

Unfortunately, due to the industrial action announced by UCU, we have made the decision to cancel this event. We hope to find a new date soon.

We are holding a “Computation Day” on Sept 29th 2023. We have invited speakers from across the University to talk about computational topics and how it has impacted their work in different ways.

All attendees are welcome to bring a poster to present during the breaks and we particularly encourage graduate students to do so. However, please do not feel obliged to make a new one specially for this event. Staff and research students from all faculties are invited to attend, and use this opportunity to meet with the High Performance Computing Team at UIS, departmental research software engineers, and domain experts from across the university. It is a great opportunity to network, find out the latest developments, and what other people are doing computationally. Lunch will be provided!
